About
GaitExo
A small, founder-led trading and branding company based in China, focused 100% on exporting consumer-grade lower-limb assistive exoskeletons for outdoor, travel, and everyday walking. We do not sell in the China domestic market -- everything we do is designed for overseas users and partners.
We Bridge Two Worlds.
Deliberately Small.
GaitExo is not a big manufacturer. We are a compact team that understands both sides of the bridge -- and we think that is exactly our value.
We created GaitExo because we saw a simple gap: hikers, travelers, older adults, and small businesses abroad were finally starting to hear about "e-bikes for your legs", but had no easy, trustworthy way to work with Chinese makers of these devices.
Our Role as a Trading & Branding Partner
"We are deliberately small, so that you always know who you are talking to and can get straight answers instead of layers of internal bureaucracy."
Consumer Exoskeletons,
Not Hospital Robots
Over the last few years, a new category has appeared: outdoor and walking exoskeletons for consumers, designed to make hiking, long walks, and travel days less tiring. Reviewers call them "e-bikes for your legs" -- devices that give you power assist when you need it, but still expect you to walk yourself.
Hiking & Trails
Extra support on climbs, rough terrain, and long return routes. Turn routes you used to skip into routes you can complete -- with energy left to enjoy the view.
Travel & City Walking
Airports, stations, city tours and 20,000-step days where fatigue builds quietly. Keep exploring instead of cutting the day short because your legs gave out first.
Daily Walking & Active Aging
Older adults and less-fit users who want to keep moving with more confidence. A practical tool that makes everyday walking feel more manageable -- not a sci-fi costume.
Export-Only Focus
GaitExo is built as an export-only brand. All communication, documentation, and support are in English. We design our product bundles, shipping plans, and support processes around overseas realities: import rules, distance, and time zones. We leave the China domestic market to others, so we can stay fully focused on helping overseas users and partners succeed.
Why Work With Us Instead of
"Just Finding a Factory"?
On paper, anyone can message a manufacturer directly. In practice, the gap between "we found a supplier" and "we successfully sell and support this product in our market" is large -- especially for a new category like exoskeletons.
Product Curation & Reality Checks
The consumer exoskeleton space is moving fast. Dozens of Chinese startups show up at CES with AI-powered exoskeletons -- many priced around $1,000-$2,000. Not every device is ready for real users. Some are too heavy, some have awkward fit, some have marketing promises that don't match real-world reviews.
Our job is to filter, test, and assemble a portfolio we are willing to put our own brand name on -- and explain clearly who each product is for and who it is not for.
Communication, Documentation & After-Sales
Most factories focus on engineering, not user-friendly manuals, partner training, or multilingual support. Time zones, language gaps, and different expectations around response times can easily turn a small issue into a big frustration.
- Clear English documentation & quick-start guides
- Simple, repeatable partner training sessions
- Straightforward channels for troubleshooting & spare parts
Trade & Logistics Expertise
Exporting powered wearable devices with batteries is not the same as shipping a T-shirt. There are rules around battery transport, paperwork, and routing that can cause delays or unexpected costs if handled poorly.
Our team has worked on hundreds of export shipments over the last two decades. We help you choose realistic incoterms, plan timelines, and avoid surprises at the port or airport.
Why Now Is the Right Time
for Consumer Exoskeletons
For years, exoskeletons lived mostly in science fiction, factories, and rehab labs. They were heavy, expensive, and hard to explain outside very narrow use cases. That picture has changed quickly.
Major tech and outdoor media now review hiking and travel exoskeletons as real gear, not prototypes -- Forbes, CNET, Electrek, Backpacker, and more.
At CES, exoskeletons are presented as lightweight consumer devices -- many under 2 kg without batteries -- targeting casual walkers, hikers, and seniors.
Price points have dropped into the $800-$2,000 USD range, making them far more accessible than earlier medical or industrial systems.
Most manufacturers are still only starting to build their overseas presence -- meaning early partners can help define how these products are presented locally.
The Window of Opportunity
"Analysts describe outdoor performance exoskeletons and budget mobility aids for seniors as some of the fastest-growing segments in the wider exoskeleton market."
Two Kinds of People
We Build Everything For
Whether you are an individual who wants to walk further, or a business looking to offer something genuinely new -- GaitExo is designed around your real-world needs.
Individual Users
Hikers, travelers, active adults, and anyone who wants to walk further
We serve people who love moving, but feel that hills, distance, age, or joints now limit how far they can go. People who want a practical tool, not a gimmick -- something that makes the last part of a hike or a long travel day feel more manageable.
Hikers who want to tackle routes they'd normally skip because of the climb or distance
Travelers who want to keep exploring instead of cutting the day short
Older adults who want to stay active and independent with more confidence
For them, we design clear, honest information: what to expect, how to wear the device, when it helps most, and how to use it safely.
Small Business Partners
Retailers, experience providers, studios, and regional distributors
We work with businesses that see consumer exoskeletons as a new category next to e-bikes and wearables -- and want to offer it without the risk of going direct to factories.
Outdoor gear retailers offering exoskeleton demos or rentals
Travel and hiking experience providers creating "assisted adventure" programs
Wellness and rehab studios exploring active-aging programs
Regional distributors expanding into consumer wearables and mobility tech
We build starter packages, demo concepts, pricing guidelines, and training so exoskeletons become a sustainable part of your business, not a risky experiment.
Focused on English-Speaking
and European Markets
In each region, we look for partners who share our approach: realistic expectations, long-term thinking, and genuine interest in how assistive exoskeletons can help real people walk further with less effort.

Curious About
"E-Bikes for Your Legs"?
Whether you are a user or a business -- if you want a partner who speaks both the language of factories and the language of real-world use, we would be glad to talk.
GaitExo is small enough that you will always know who you are dealing with, and focused enough that every conversation can go straight to the point: what would it take to make assisted walking actually work for you, here, in your world?
